There is an unfortunate stigma that a majority of our fellow citizens attribute to people who suffer from mental illness. Genuine Care was formulated as a means to assist adults who suffer from mental illness to combat this stigma by helping them to better integrate into a society that may otherwise seem overwhelming or callous.
		As the name implies, I genuinely care about my clients, and I believe that in order to help a client effectively they first must be totally accepted. When a client feels accepted for who they are without any labels or conditions, a relationship is established between the counselor and client that fosters trust and creates an environment that enables the client to grow.
